Khanyisa Teffo
Khanyisa Teffo is a 34 year old, black woman born in South Africa. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Management from Bond University and other short courses in research, change management, monitoring and evaluation, Business Process design and re-engineering and project management. She has more than 10 years’ experience in project management, programme development, review, evaluation and financing. Her professional experience started at Deloittes as a consultant in the Enterprise Resource Planning division using JD Edwards and Oracle and later in the Human Capital and Change Enablement divisions.
Khanyisa was Project Manager at Absa Barclays from 2007 to 2008, responsible for change initiatives across all Retail Bank Divisions namely Private Bank, Homeloans, Vehicle Finance, Credit Cards and Small Business. Part of her duties included overseeing the implementation of revised score cards and the compliance of the Retail Bank Business Processes to Basel II Credit Risk Rating.
Khanyisa then founded Masimu Investments (PTY) LTD between 2008- 2011, a supply chain and logistics planning and management company that had transportation contracts with Eskom and mining companies.
From 2011 to 2012 she conducted Market Intelligence Studies in South Africa, Botswana, Uganda, Kenya,Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia, DRC on behalf Hitachi Europe Johannesburg.
From 2013 to date, Khanyisa provides Project Management, Strategy Planning and Development, Business Development, Market Intelligence, Advisory Services, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, Due Diligence and Transformation services through Echelon Group (PTY) LTD where she is a Director. Some of her projects include the Optimisation of the Services Export Strategy on behalf of the City of Johannesburg and Monitoring and Evaluation of Capacity Building Programs on behalf of the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and the French Development Agency (AFD). Khanyisa has engaged various government departments in Zimbabwe on meeting their development funding goals.
Khanyisa is a board member of Somlolo Group Investment Holdings (PTY) LTD based in South Africa and Hong Kong with investments in Galvanised and Stainless Steel projects, Construction, Alternative Energy, Commodity Trading and Telecommunication interests in South Africa and in the African Continent.
Khanyisa is a social entrepreneur and philanthropist, with a passion for knowledge sharing and skills development.
